Mokke Incoming! Ranting is Here!

It's been a while. Almost a year actually. 
Well, I might drop a Mokke chapter in a couple of weeks. 

yup, just like that... back from the dead!

Ok let me fill the post for a bit now. 

OPM season 2 sucks! I never expected much the moment I heard jc staff doing it but still I got disappointed. (between you and me, it's not horrible.)

At least, we got another season of Ace of Diamond and it's the part that counts too. manga fans will understand what I mean ;)

and of course, Shingeki! I read the manga for a while and I've been waiting for that Levi vs Beast Titan scene to be animated since. When it came. IT WAS EPIC! 

The most disappointing of all was Game of Thrones and the most pleasantly (hauntingly) surprising of all was Chernobyl!  

I think that was enough words! See you in a couple of weeks! 

oh and I hear another basketball manga will be animated! JUST REMAKE SLAM DUNK ALREADY DAMMIT!!!

This is it! Seiketsu no Haguruma's done. I'll leave my comments unsaid. avoiding spoilers. 

I just wish this wasn't the author's first series. and I wish he would have developed it more. 
I scanned the epilogue. I'm not good at perfectly getting rid of the paper shadows but the quality's good overall.

Announcement:

We're now entering a long hiatus. It's just a lighter way to say that we're closing. Shoreijuu told me that we can release a chapter once in a while so... Hiatus it is. 
I have a few chapters of Tenshi and FMPA already cleaned so when the translation is ready, I will release them.

updates/announcement:
as it says in Releases timeline page, we're at the end of the line here and it's getting tougher by the day. Shoreijuu (JP/ENG translator) can't work on full chapters anymore. She can only help me with Seiketsu. So,  Bible of Black and 34-sai are dropped. We put Asahinagu and TVR back in the ongoing list few months ago but the translators haven't updated us yet so that's checkmate for those manga too. :(

We'll do our best and keep Seiketsu (and probably Mokke too) going. 
Projects that are not translated by Rebel or Shoreijuu will keep going too namely: Mozuku Walking!, FMP Another and Tenshi-chan to Akuma-kun (as soon as volume 3 raw is available).

We're picking up Full Metal Panic! Another. not the genre we prefer but we'd like to work on as many chapters as we can before we quit.

Announcements:
Turnip Farmers already started scanlating Ad Astra. I feel a little sad but also very happy because they're giving the manga the quality it deserves. it's in better hands now. *sniffles*

On a another sad note, We just reached the top of the pyramid and we are now going straight to the end of the falling line. It will be slow. We are sure that we cannot be scanlating one year from now so we are going to wrap up a few titles and probably start a few short ones. well, the idea is to work on as many chapters as we can before we quit.

I was supposed to release this chapter two days ago but my laptop got in the way. It's probably a good thing since I re-checked the chapter and I fixed a few things which I'd have v2ed the chapter if i did release it 2 days ago. still, not proofread. read at your own risk. Chapter 18 will be ready soon I only need to clean and typeset.

I have some important news regarding Ad Astra. I'm really sad to announce that we're dropping it. BUT... the good side of the news is that another group is going to resume it - and I can't say the group's name now since they haven't announce picking it up yet. I will (and will also state a few details of how and why our dropping it came to be in a future post) after they announce it officially on their website.

Seiketsu no Haguruma's mangaka, Hanao Kohei created another manga series entitled Bible of Black and we intend to translate it. here is the description: 

The world's most infamous villains are being murdered one after another, in what is called the "Judge's Incident." A mark is left at each and every crime scene. And then, the balance tips to one side, little by little. What is the reason behind the continuing paranormal occurrences, and what is the true nature of Shouya, the boy connected to each incident?

It's been a while~

we really miss scanlating. Unfortunately, we can't resume yet. But the good news is (and turns out I was very smart in doing this! ) I already translated Ad Astra c5 & Mokke c12 very roughly back when I still had a bit of free time so now I can proofread it. However, I don't believe it'll be good quality; I'll be the one redrawing and proofreading my own translation! so, when it's out (most likely, last week of December), read at your own risk (I can say the same thing about the other chapters too in terms of translation.)

I certainly tried to find a way to keep translating this amazing manga but looks like I won't make it so I think this is the last chapter of this series from us. any group that's interested in resuming it they're free to do so.

but still, we have the tendency of picking up dropped series again (we just love our projects <3 ) so I might resume it when I have time, certainly not in the next few months though.

Sudamagaeshi

Another chapter of Mokke: Sudamagaeshi. After this, I'll only translate chapters that weren't included in the anime. 
I'm currently in unemployed mode therefore I have more time for some challenges in translation. I'm gonna focus on the next Mokke chapters (ch 7 and 11) then I will focus on the first challenge, Ad Astra, I just got the first volume in french yesterday :3 it's pretty wordy and difficult but I'll do my best not to tarnish this awesome work. Tamami's Wishful Thinking and God save the Queen will be on their way to my shelf soon. 

Chapters 24 and 25 of Seiketsu will be finished and released hopefully this weekend. 24 is done but the current arc ends in 25 so we'll just release them together. 

ok... that was too much unnecessary talk so just enjoy the chapter now!! >_<

Chapter 14 | Long Evening (4th Part) 

One more chapter to finish volume 3. I don't have the 4th and final volume of the manga yet. I'm gonna fill the gap with a new project: Mokke until I find a french version of Graduale vol 4. if that takes too long, Shoreijuu will probably translate it from Japanese. 

Mokke is a work that perfectly suits our peculiar taste. It poses a challenge for me to translate it since it's heavily based on Japanese folklore and culture which is something I'm not very familiar with. Well, I'm gonna go for it and we'll see what happens.

And again, We still need a translator for Eleven Soul and a cleaner or redrawer too. (too much work for me >_< )

Back to Translation

Finally, we're back to translating again. and 34-sai Mushoku-san is officially a new project. we wouldn't have planned to continue it given our unfavorable circumstances but it is short and manageable and most importantly, it meets our taste as a 'peculiar manga'. 

Some of you want Asahinagu. Well, we previously announced it as dropped you probably didn't see the post. so again, We really love Asahinagu but we can't manage a lot of series and for that,we can't pick it up again but we'll work on it again if we get more time but no promises.

Announcement ~31 Days After~

Hello! Rebel's here!

Finally, we're back at work again. Shoreijuu will take care of Seiketsu as usual and I got the first 2 volumes of Kumo no Graduale in French two days ago. I started translating the first chapter already. We've been studying translation theories hoping that we'll be able to do a better job in a short time. Our time is very limited unfortunately! anyway, we're enjoying this so we're doing our best. I see that no other groups picked any of our dropped projects so I'll probably introduce some of them to scanlators myself and I hope it goes well. 

some of you may wonder why drop all the projects and then pick up a new one? why not continue one of the dropped instead? the answer is that all the dropped series are in Japanese; Shoreijuu, the JP/ENG translator, can only work on 1 series and I, FR/ENG translator, can only work on 1 series too. So now we can work on 2 series at the same time. 

And we said this before, we definitely and warmly welcome any translator who wants to continue one of the dropped series or has another series in mind. I love all those damned series we dropped! >_<

Asahinagu is on hold for now (when it's just getting interesting! >_<). Edward is not going to translate it for a while because he has to prepare for his graduation thesis; so let's wish him good luck. :)

● The Weekly Update ●

No release this week so all you have is an update. :3

There’s mixed responses about Eleven Soul from the readers and that’s obvious since you can’t tell exactly how good or bad a manga is from the first chapter. So, we’re releasing a double release next time and maybe we’ll do the same once in a while. Chapter 02 and half of Chapter 03 are cleaned; overall, the release will be ready in at least, 10 days 2 weeks from now. Thank you for being patient ;)

Zodiac Game chapter 04 is completely translated and sent to Death Toll for proofreading. However, due to our new joint policy (check the F.A.Qs for that), We are to drop Zodiac Game after concluding Volume 1. That is to say we only have one more chapter to go. I've emailed Death Toll and asked them if they'll continue it but still no reply yet so I can't tell you anything right now.

Now to Asahi Nagu, Edward sent me the full script of chapter 01 yesterday. Shoreijuu is currently proofing it. I can't tell exactly when the release will be ready but we’re hoping to release it along with Eleven Soul. I’m so excited about it as a series and as a first release that’ll have all the members’s names on the credit page. (^o^)

Status update & Announcements

It’s been 3 weeks since our last release! That is a long time I guess. Well, I’m here just for an update and a few announcements though. >_<

Starting with the on-going projects, Zodiac Game is still in the process of translation. As for Drop, I’m putting it in limbo since we don’t have a translator for it. I can translate it from French though but that goes against our policy of accurate translation. I contacted a group doing a similar project hoping for a joint but they couldn’t provide a translator either. In any case I’ll keep looking. Also, the upcoming project Seiketsu no Haguruma was translated from French (still needs proofreading – Shoreijuu will take care of it after finishing ZG ch04). Chapter 01 will be the only chapter we’ll be releasing then it goes straight to the in-limbo box for the same reason as Drop.

 Asahi Nagu is going smoothly. I personally like the series; we’re going to stick with it until the end. I hope you like it. ^_^

We are taking another road for Manga Syndrome. We’ll be closing recruitments; except for when we need staff for a specific series (like: Drop and Seiketsu no Haguruma that need translators). Other than that, we are focusing on our current members. And limiting the number of projects we’re working on too. For more details about joints and other stuff check the F.A.Q.


I almost forgot, We'll be doing a joint with another scanlation group (it's obvious that it's with another group!!! / well, you're right. it's just still too early to name the group >_< ). anyway, we will join on Eleven Soul. look forward to it if everything goes well.

Zodiac Game Update; New Project - Tonari no Gokudou-kun

We'll be working with Death Toll Scans for Zodiac Game starting with Chapter 3!  Our team will continue doing the translation work for this project and probably typesetting in the future :)

We also started working on "Tonari no Gokudou-kun" (となりの極道ーくん） which appeared in Shounen Gangan.  Cleaning and translation are on the way! Look out for it :D
